PipeSnug

PipeSnug is the quickest and most efficient way to seal around pipework and is the evolution of an idea by Chris Burdett, a builder and bricklayer with over 30 years’ experience in the trade.

Chris met Alex Lever (through their kids’ school) and discussed his idea one evening over a drink. As you do.

Let Chris explain: “The PipeSnug concept came to me out on site one day when I was preparing to point mortar around a waste pipe for what seemed like the millionth time.  I realised a simple fitting would save so much time compared to mixing mortar or siliconing around the pipe, as well as blending into the fabric of the building visually.”

Alex has founded and run a number of companies, in a wide range of industry sectors, and was excited with the potential of the product as there really did not seem to be anything like it available.

“When Chris told me about PipeSnug I loved the idea.  We formed the business and set to work on the product design and bringing a solution to market.”

Launching PipeSnug

It took around 12 to 18 months to perfect the design, test prototypes and find the right suppliers to work with. One of the major hurdles was to get the product patented, which is a long process – but we got there eventually!

PipeSnug was officially launched with the 32mm and 40mm versions at the Installer show in May 2017.  And the feedback from the trade was AMAZING!  We were also thrilled to win several industry awards.
