Flat Roof Torch On Felt

Torch on felt for flat roofs is an efficient and easy to use solution for sealing and making flat roofs watertight. Torch on felt means that three layers of modified bitumen, also known as felt, are torched on to both the roof surface and each other via a blow torch. Three layers of felt – vapour control sheet, a reinforced felt sheet and a cap sheet with mineral finish – are required by UK building regulations for home builds to create an impenetrable and waterproof roof.  As well as its watertight properties, torch on felt is resistant to UV rays, strong winds and rain. Its clever design means that the mineral finish of the felt prevents the bitumen beneath from melting when the sun hits and regulates the temperature inside the building in the summer weather.
