Policy

Shipping

We ship to every part of the United Kingdom. The usual delivery time is 1 working day if placed before 1:00pm, unless you live at an offshore address then this could be 2-3 working days. The shipping price depends on the weight and size of the order which can be found out at the checkout by entering your postcode.

Price & Delivery

1.1 Prices advertised are in Pounds Sterling and exclusive of all UK taxes and VAT (where applicable). You are responsible for ensuring that all credit and debit card details are correct and that You are using the card in good faith.

1.2 You will be notified when Your Order has been despatched.

1.3 Delivery times are issued in good faith and are not legally binding. We will not be responsible for any inconvenience arising through delay or loss caused by delivery.

1.4 Delivery charges are set out in the Delivery Services section of this site. Charges are based on the address that You supply. Once an Order has been despatched We are not responsible for any changes to addresses.

1.5 A signature is required as proof of delivery. Once Goods are delivered to You, they become Your property. We are not liable for any loss or damage to Goods once they have been delivered to You. On receipt of Goods You must check against the inventory provided. You must inform Us of any missing items within 24 hours. After this time no liability will be assumed by Us.

1.6 If after 7 days of confirmation of Your Order You haven’t received Your Goods, You must notify us immediately.

1.7 Goods must be used for the purpose for which they are intended. We will not be responsible for any injury or damage caused by the misuse of Goods.

1.8 If Goods are damaged or faulty You must inform Us within 3 working days. Damage or faults after this time will be deemed as Your responsibility.

1.9 We reserve the right to change and amend prices at any time. You will pay the amount specified at the time of the checkout process.

1.10 If any items are missing from your order you must inform us within 3 working days.

1.11 Prices exclude delivery charges.

1.12 Next day Delivery applies to delivery on working days and does not include weekends and bank holidays.

Cancellation & Returns

2.1 If You wish to cancel Your Order: Before despatch You must notify Us as soon as possible by emailing info@bcprofiles.co.uk or by phoning 01924 382112, please quote Your Order number in all correspondence. If Goods have already been despatched: You must return them within 7 working days of receipt to;

2.2 If You wish to return Goods for any reason You must notify us by the methods in condition 2.1 stating the reason.

2.3 There is a 25% re-stocking fee on all products returned unless faulty or damaged.

2.4 Any 'special' made to order products such as GRP Door Canopies cannot be returned unless faulty.

2.5 Your Statutory Rights are not affected.

2.6 Once your goods have been returned and inspected your money will be re-funded.

Planning Your Job

BC Profiles strongly suggest you DO NOT book any trade person to complete a job involving goods ordered from us, until all parts of your order have been received in good order. We cannot accept any liability for any costs incurred due to damages, defects, faults or issues with goods in transit.

Established in 1992 BC Profiles is a family-owned business supplying high quality building materials suitable for both domestic and commercial use at a competitive price. These products can be which purchased online or at their Yorkshire-based store.

Under the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which governs Data Protection, we are required to give you a clear understanding of how and why we process your data, and what our position is, in this relationship

We are the Data Controller.

As we set the rules and reasons for collecting data from you, we are classed as the Controller of your personal data.  This means it is our responsibility to ensure that the data we collect is controlled effectively and protected at all times.  Should you have any questions about the processing of your data

Why we need your personal data and what we need to do with it.

Your personal data will be managed in accordance with the new Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) under the following principles:

    • We are required to process your personal data as part a contract/purchase made with BC Profiles.
  • Purpose Limitation:
    • Your data will only be collected for explicit, contractual and legitimate purposes meaning that as well as using the data to identify you and perform any purchase or contract with you, we may use it:
      • Direct market to you about relevant products
      • Contact you through the BC Profiles newsletter
      • Financial/transaction information about your purchase(s)
    • If we have collected your information for a specific purpose, we will not use it for anything else unless you have been informed and, where relevant, your permission obtained.
  • Data Minimisation:
    • We will not ask for more information than we need for the purposes for which we are collecting it
  • Data Accuracy:
    • We will update our records when you inform us that your details have changed
  • Storage Limitation:
    • We will only retain your personal data for
  • Integrity and Confidentiality:
    • We have implemented appropriate technical and operational measures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of your personal data

Policies and processes we have to protect your rights as the ‘Data Subject’

Under the GDPR you have a number of ‘rights’ which you can exercise at any time.  Should you wish to do so, please contact the person named at the end of this Notice.  These rights might include:

  • the right to a Subject Access Request (also known as a SAR). You can access all of the data we process on you. This will be supplied to you within 1 month from the request being received.
  • the right to rectification – requesting any inaccurate data we hold on you to be corrected. We will make your amendments without undue delay.
  • the right to erasure - where the contract has ended but consent has been obtained to process your data, you may have the right to be forgotten and your personal data erased without undue delay.
  • the right to object/withdraw your consent.
  • the right to restricted processing – you can now request us to stop processing your personal data which can be reversed through consent from you the ‘data subject’.
  • the right to data portability – you can now have your personal data ported from BC Profiles to another controller
  • the right to object to automated decision making, whereby we may use your data for profiling purposes to make a decision.

Where we cannot comply with one of these rights, or we need additional time to comply, we will provide you with a full explanation within the timescales required by the Regulation.
